Fishing Report for Oct 12, 2013

Fishing report for Saturday, October 12, 2014

If you’re into catching fish, this has been the place to be!  Just ask Billy and Racine Cummins from Pulaski, MS.  During the 2 days they fished with guide Eric Beecher, they caught over 175 fish! Larry Picket of Dunlap, TN, along with his young fishing buddy Trey, had two great days of fishing with guides Rick O’Neal and then Steve Cooper.  Young Tyler was even able to bring in a beautiful Brown Trout.

Water levels of the river have been staying between 1 to 4 feet above the minimum flow for the last 2 weeks.  This has made for some ideal fishing conditions with enough water for a nice, easy drift in a boat.  The guides found many of the best fish drifting worms over the shallow gravel bars.  Others have found plenty of fish with shrimp, PowerBait trout worms, and Rapalas.

We are expecting another cold front on Tuesday bringing us some more very pleasant autumn weather.  Color of the trees is turning very slowly. I expect the peak of colors will still be another 1 to 2 weeks away.

We still have a few openings for cabin rentals, but not many.  If you would like to come, give us a call soon!

Wait and shop with us. We stock exactly what you need for this section of the White River. You can pre-order your bait shop supplies! Call and ask for details!
